PSC teams Join Florida NPL

Parkland Travel Soccer Club will join the Florida National Premier League (NPL) next season with U11-18 Boys Premier  teams (Red Teams). PSC has also applied for the U11-16 Girls to be in the FPL which is a state wide league run under US Club Soccer.

PSC Red U11-18 Boys Teams have been approved by NPL and league officials to join the Florida NPL for the 2018-19 season.

“PSC is excited to be part of the NPL and feel this platform will enhance the experience for our newly formed Red teams in 2018-2019 season,” said Coach Roger Thomas, PSC Director of Soccer. “We feel this league will have the competition needed to challenge our players and our staff to be the best that they can be.”

The growth mindset and openness to develop a league that works better for families scheduling and a club’s ability to provide a better platform for competitive games is what has drawn so many clubs to be a part of this league. Our U13& U14 Boys did it last year and found it to be a very challenging league and gave us a good gage of how we are compared with other teams in the State.  Both teams came in first and second place and our U14 are going to the NPL National Showcase in Massachusetts this summer.

We look forward to the start of the 2018-19 season with the addition of our of of all our premier teams (Red) representing Parkland in this league.

While boys have carved out their way we are aspiring to build our girls program and provide them with the same exposure.

We really want the girls to get to the next level in our club and we applied for the Florida Premier League for some of girls teams and are confident the girls will be accepted in the coming weeks.

The NPL, as a whole, is made up of various regional leagues (NPLs) throughout the country. It’s a proven, club-driven commodity that has elevated the youth soccer landscape and linked competition with player development and identification platforms.

In addition to consistent, competitive league play within the NPL, Florida National Premier League clubs benefit from an array of US Club Soccer programming, including: Players First, id2/PDPs, National Cup, state cups and more.

Players First is a branded, holistic club soccer experience for parents and players which emphasizes the development of each individual to his or her full potential, and helps parents make better choices about where their children should play. Players First is anchored by five pillars:

* Club Development

* Coaching Development

* Player Development

* Parent Engagement & Education

* Player Health & Safety

US Club Soccer is striving to provide the safest experience in youth sports for its members, noting that that Player Health & Safety is US Club Soccer’s “first and most important responsibility.” That commitment has been demonstrated through various initiatives and Players First partnerships, including 11+, Fit for 90, Player’s Health and Sideline Sports Doc.

US Club Soccer has implemented best-in-class background checks, as part of its background screening process for all registered staff. The effort is coupled with a requirement for those registered staff to complete a Sideline Sports Doc/US Club Soccer online injury recognition course.
