Tryout Selection Process:  All players must be evaluated before joining the program. This also applies to returning players wanting to continue in the program the following year. 

 

Tryout Results: If your child is selected for a team, the team’s coach will contact you by email or phone with an offer. He/she will instruct you that you have 48 hours from that time to accept the position. All parents/players will be contacted approximately 48 hours after the last age group tryout session.  For the 2020-21 season, because of the COVID restriction regarding the numbers of players we can evaluate at a time, some age groups may take longer than others, but our goal is to finalizethe rosters by Wednesday, June 17th and have all players notified by June 20th.  

 

Amount of players per team:  Roster Size: Whenever possible, coaches are encouraged to form rosters that will allow all players significant playing time over the course of a season. Coaches are encouraged to build rosters that allow players the opportunity to experience meaningful competition during each match.  Coaches are encouraged to roster only those players who can maintain the competitive level of their particular team.

 

The following are the roster sizes for the different age groups in PSC travel soccer program.

• 2012’s (U9) & 2011’s (U10) Teams 7 vs. 7 game format 10-12 players on each team
• 2010’s (U11) & 2009’s (U12) Teams 9 vs. 9 game format 12-14 players on each team
• 2008’s (U13) – 2006’s (U15) Teams 11 vs. 11 game format 16-18 players on each team
• 2005’s (U16) – 2002’s (U19) Teams 11 vs. 11 game format 16-22 players on each team

 

Process to Commit to the Team:  First, respond to email or phone that you will accept the offer. Please make a note of the team name, level (ECNL-R, Red, White, Navy) and coach name at that time. If you want to think it over, please call or email the coach within the 48-hour period to guarantee your spot. Detailed instructions to accept an offer will be given to you by the coach. Instructions will also be posted on our website. If you do not pay the first payment online within 48 hours, you will not be guaranteed the spot you were offered. Please ensure that your email is correct and current as important updates from the Club are sent via email.

 

Team Meeting & Meet the Coach: Coaches will have a team meeting by June 25^th before everyone goes away for the summer.  Because of the social distancing requirements, this will most likely be in the form of a virtual Zoom meeting.

Tournaments: Each team will participate in a minimum of two to three local tournaments.  Older teams may travel outside of the tri-county area. This cost is additional. More information and an estimated budget will be provided at your team meeting.

Training Schedule: Players are required to attend all of their age group training days and times. Teams train three days per week.  The 2013-2009 teams typically train from 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm and the 2008 and older teams train from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm.  The training schedules will be finalized throughout the summer and emailed to you by your team manager or coach.

 

Training Location: During the Fall Season, training is typicall held at two locations. During the Fall training will be located at Terramar Park; 6575 NW 76^th Drive; Parkland, FL  33067.  During the Winter and Spring Seasons, training will be located at Pine Trails Park; 10555 Trails End Road, Parkland, FL  33076.
